Cibi Cibi Studio is a design team comprised of designer Joo-kyung Ahn and metal craftsman Yu-min Jeon.
We explore materials, processes and concepts.
Although it is based on metal work, it is not limited to genres and studies various other materials that can be combined with metal. When combining materials, we pursue a direction that can preserve the characteristics of each material and the identity of the object in question. We discover different characteristics and textures through an understanding of materials, and research and produce which objects they are suitable for.
This process may begin with simple curiosity and is inspired by a variety of concepts.
We hope that the objects we create will bring about a combination of senses through the user's usage environment and the unconscious actions of the user using our objects.
We seek to reflect the uniqueness of each user by incorporating the time the user has enjoyed into our objects.
We aim to build our own wide spectrum by presenting works combined with various other materials without compromising the depth of the metal work that forms the basis.
