The brand EKA-, inspired by the artist's initials, is an expression of an 'unknown' element that has not yet been discovered. It refers to research into the ‘unknown territory’ that connects flat and curved surfaces and the fusion of straight lines and curves, and reflects the characteristics of products with convergent shapes. We pursue eco-friendly crafts and aim to showcase interesting works and products through continuous development and communicate with various fields.
The works are mainly created based on planes and spheres. The sphere has a soft, hard, and dense image and is perceived as a form that can embrace everything. On the other hand, flat surfaces have a sharp and straightforward feel that contrasts with curved surfaces. These opposing straight lines and curves may seem contradictory at first, but combining them creates new curvatures. This new curvature combines the organic form of curves and the rigid structure of straight lines into a fused form that feels familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
